' Official: There were continued suc«ess« in the Tremboyla and Tehortkoff seetors on Thursday, and we took five thousand prisoners. Our troops are advancing on the left bant of the Dwina, fighting as tliey go. The enemy, supported by strong artillery, developed a series ot attacks in the direction of Skidee and .the lower Zelvianka, but we repulsed the attacks. The (Germans renewed their offensive, accompanied by a aevere fire of heavy and light artillery, and our batteries again repelled ,the attacks. The Germans greatly increased their fire and renewed their attempt to pierce our front, but our concentrated artillery repulsed fbem for the third time. We repulsed attacks near Rojssg by close range fire 1 and bayonet charges. The enemy then drove a large number of inhabitants forward, under cover; of •whom they approached nearer our poei.turn*. , The enemy bombarded our troops at KrcSnetz with asphyxiating shells. The Austrians, after their losses at Trentbovla and Tchfirkoff, retreated precipitate^-.
