EMPIRE THEATRE. j The new programme at the Empire Theatre last night introduced part 12 of "The Adventures of Kathlyn," Selig's exciting, wild animal drama, This section of the play shows how Uinballah occupies the throne of Allaha temporarily .until Kathlyn agrees to be'made queen. Then the heroine has Umballah arrested for having caused the death of' the late king, but tli? wily Umballaih escapes from prison. Subsequently jvSien' Kathlyn and her friends aa'e endeavoringto obtain possession of treasure' gold on Volcano Island Umballah attempts to thwart them. An encounter with a lion and a narrow escape from being overwhelmed by a volcanic eruption are added to Kathlyn's adventures! The rest of the bill consists of "A Bird's a Bird" (Keystone farce-comedy), "His Wedded Wife" (Vita, drama), "Australian Gazette," "Engineer's Peril" (Kalem irama) and "Hunting the Brown Bear" (interest). ROYAL PICTURES. The principal attraction to be screened on Monday and Tuesday at the Theatre Royal is a big four-reel drama entitled "The (Pirate's Revenge."
