WOMEN'S AID. Sydney, August "20. The Women's Commonwealth Patriotic Association passed a resolution pledging them to assist Australian manufacturers and not to buy enemy goods. The association approved the registration of women for national service, if need be for compulsory service. It was decided to hold a housekoeners' conference for the purpose of advocating thrift.
