RURAL EDUCAT lOX
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Ilawera, Yesterday
A meeting under the auspices of the Eginont A. and P. Association was held in the Borough Council Chambers, Hawera, on .Saturday. This meeting was the outcome of the resolution from the association to support the movement ami foster rural education in Taranaki, Those present formed themselves into a provisional committee, including those nominated by the Eginont A. and I'. Association. Mr. J. Meßlair was appointed chairman and Mr. H. A. Lennon secretary. The committee are canvassing for new members in Hawera and also in Meroniore, Ohaugai, Manutalii, and Alton, being the districts represented by certain members of the central body. As soon as the classes are firmly established where not yet represented it is invite the co-operation of centres already in existence, and form a central executive in Hawera. The. tirst lecture to the new branch will be delivered by Mr. P.. A. S. Brown on Saturday next,' 28th inst., in the Technical School, Hawera, at 1.30 p.m. Members are being notified and are invited to bring friends and intending members.
