ROYAL PICTURES.. The feature of an excellent programme of pictures presented to ft good audience at the Theatre Royal last night \va? " The Lights o' London," a pictorial dramatisation of fleorge R. Sims's melodrama. The. story is one which creates a strong dramatic atmosphere. A reckless son of ti squire lias his life's journey altered by the unexpected arrival of his father, when he is liberating his reekless temperament at the Hall, and the result is lie is cut off with the proverbial shilling, lie goes away to London, taking "with him tile daughter of one of the employees at the Hall, and under the fights of London he passes through a period of stress, which brings the couple to the doors of poverty. A series of strong scenes follow which combine to fink flie fallen in more desperate depths, but eventually right triumphs over wrong, and the squire's son enters a brighter scene than the lights of London, 'i'lie pictures supporting the " star" film comprise ono of the best selections 6een here for some time. The programme is a varied and enjoylule one, and will foe repeated to-night,
