MINING. MOUNT MORGAN MINE. Brisbane, July 30. For the four weeks ended July 25 the. Mount Morgan concentrators produced 226 tons of copper and 2347 ounces oi' gold, of a total value of £79,154. A mishap to the power plant reduced the output. MATTHEWS, OAMLIX & OO.'S REPORT. Matthews, Gamlin and Co. report a good yarding-at their Inglowood yards last Wednesday, including Mr. W. Jones' dairy herd. All cattle sold freely, and practically everything yarded was sold at the hammer at the following rates: Dairy cows iT> 10s to £ll, store and forward cows £4 to £5 15s, fat cows £8 10s to £9, bulls £3 3s to £4 15s, veorling steers £2 4s, yearling heifers 2Ss 6d to £2 4s. On Monday last we hold a very successful clearing sale for Messrs Gyde and Pegg. The cows, which were a very choice lot, sold well at the following prices:—Good early calvers £8 to £l3 10s. others £0 to' £7 10s, horses £2B, £22. £l4; implements and sundries at satisfactory prices. BURNSIDE MARKET. Dunedin, July 28. At Burnside to-day 172 fat cattle were yarded, the entry including a few wellfinished bullocks, and prices showed an
advance of 15s to £1 per head on last week's rates. Fat cattle were firmer, and there was a sharp rise in fat lambs and fat sheep, and from an exporter's point iif view it was (hi' dearest mar ket since the fv.izoii meat trade started. Store sheep showed improvement, especially wethers.
