Subject to necessary alterations, mails close at the Chief Post Office as under:— For Auckland and north, per steamer Tuesday and Friday, at 7 p.m., and daily per train, at 6.15 a.m. For Wellington and south, daily at 6.15 a.JD. and 12.50 p.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices daily at 6.12 a.m., 12.20 p.m., and 3.55 SATURDAY, JULY 31. Tor Australian States, South Africa, China and Straits Settlements, via Auckland), at 6.15 a.m. MOXDAY, AUGUST 2. For Saratonga and Tahiti (per s.s. Tulane. from Auckland), at 0.1.5 a.m. X.K.—Mails sent via Suez are subject to heavy delay, and under ordinary circumstances arrive in London later than mails despatched from Xew Zealand by the next Vancouver or San Francisco steamer Only specially-addressed correspondence is now sent via Suez. The times for closing mails for places bevond the Dominion are liable to alteration (earlier or later).
