ON THE PLATEAU. . —-.- ~f AUSTRIAN REPORT. Received July 22, 9.20 p.m. Rome, July 22. The Italians, bombarding the railway, have reduced 'the supply trains to Gorizia from fourteen to one daily, which runs the gauntlet of Italian lire. Vienna, July 22. Official: The Italians made a general attack on Gorizia. The battle raged all day on the border of Doberdo p.atcau. The enemy succeeded in capturing .Monte San Michel, east of Gladisa, but \vc retook the height with our reserves. The Italians were ejected from other positions southeast of Gorizia, and were bloodily repulsed at the bridge-head at Weodgora, west of Gorizia. Thus all the Italian efforts were carried out with enormous sacrifices and were unproductive.
