The discussion of the National Gov<rnmcnt proposal was outlined to-day, lint 110 announcement of the result was made in the House of Representatives. Apparently the party leaders had not yet carried their discussion to the point of finality. A caucus of the Opposition was held during the morning. No offii ial statement was made concerning the result of the meeting, but your correspond™ gathered that the National Government proposal, in its present form, had been dismissed, and that a decision had -he.cn reached. The Prime Minister and the leader ■if the Opposition met during the evenin", and conferred briefly.
