Following is the High Commissioner's market report, under date London, July 17 (Note. Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot):— Heat.—No material change in the market conditions during last week. Mutton is in good demand, but prices are firm, owing to short supply. Canterbury, 7'/id per l'b for best quality light weight; North Island, 7%d for light weight; ewes, G O-MSd. Lamb. —Fair demand continues, especially for light weight, even if the qua lity is poor. Canterbury 81; heavy weight, in moderate .supply, B>4d; second grade, 8 d for light weight ; other than Canterbury S%d for light weight. Reef.—3'riiiie New Zealand beef cannot be quoted. Chilled hinds 8 1 /, d, fores 7%d. 'Butter. —The market is firm and good qualities are in demand, but there is poor demand for superior/ quality.
