The programme of pictures was certainly well chosen, the first portion of the'entertainment being of a light anil amusing description, and, judging from the hearty laughter and applause, the pictures were thoroughly enjoyed. The opening scene in "Tipperary" is an Irishman's 'cabin, and here the rival lovers (a Nationalist and an Ulsterman) come to grips, but the outbreak of the war and the enlistment of volunteers sees both men in t'.ic ranks. The camp lire scenes are mo.it artistically carried out, and the men are pictured as throwing heart and soul into the singing of "Tipperary," in which a large section of the audience lustily joined. The presentation of scouting and other incidents of warfare are will worked out, the appearance of the Germans pever failing to elicit hostile deOf course there is an ambulaiiPe scene, and naturally this was very popular. The night attacks by th • British were well depicted, and their success was warmly cheered. The romance comes to a lmppy ending on the homecoming of the favored suitor, the Ulsterman, his rival having eventually been shot. The picture is one that deserves liberal patronage. It appeals to the allstirring sentiment of the time, is splendidly mounted, excellently acted, ami goes with a swing from opening to close. It proved a groat success lasl night. and should attract an even larger atiendan-e this evening.
