WRECK Of THE STRATHCONA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. Further news of the Strathcona by wireless states that SfTe was wrecked on the North Minerva Feed, between Fiji and the Kefmadecs. The relief steamer now reports that nine men were rescued. AH were well. This' message was interrupted when starting the list of names. TIMBER MILL BURXED OCT. Auckland, Yesterday. i Tackle and Co.'s timber mill in Spring I Street, Rcmucra, was destroyed by I fire at midnight. The. insurances were £977 in the Liverpool, London and Clone on the building and plant destroyed, and •Clir.'i in the same company on a portion nt the premises slightly damaged.
QUALIFICATIONS OF ARCHITECTS. Wellington. Yesterday. A judgment of considerable interest to architects was given to-day by Mr. Justice. Cluvpman. Arthur Henry Copper, of Nelson, who since 1872 has done extensive architectural work and erected numerous buildings, applied for registration as an ar.-hiteet. The Institute of Architects refused the application. He then appealed to the Supreme Court, 'which decided that be is entitled to regi-iration. The .rudgo, however, did not allow him costs.
