RUNNING AMOK!

DRUNK ON AUCKLAND WHARF. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Yesforday. A man, who gave his name as Charles Norman, was arrested last night on charges of drunkenness and firing a revolver on the Stanley Bay wharf. It is stated that about 7.45 p.m. accused was standing oil the end of the wharf firing a revolver in all directions. Two young men saw the flash and a bullet passed within a foot of their heads. The man who fired the shots was dressed in the Salvation Army uniform. A new five-chambered revolver and a number of cartridges were found in his possession.
