COURSING NOTES.
Mr. Carlton Hcaly received word yesterday from Jiis brother, who U in VVanganui with the greyhounds, that hit well known dog Gonnemara won the Wanganui Open Stakes in fine Btylo. This sliows great credit on Mr. R. Healy, w]io lias been training the dogs for tin Wanganui meeting. Black Mascot was defeated by Diamond Star by one point, and Mr. Robert Neal, who is also in Wanganui with his dog Black Chief, bad bad luck to meet Diamond Star in tin first course. I am informed that Mr. S. Rowe has his Daylight Star- in sound training, and hopes to give New Plymouth a surprise at the next meowing. .. it has boon decided to hold a coursing mooting at Stratford shortly, in view of starting a club.
