SOUTH-WEST AFRICA CAMPAIGN.
London, July 4. A correspondent at Capetown says there is good reason to believe that tho great majority of the Germans in SouthWest Africa were thoroughly sick of the whole business, and were anxious to surrender when Windhoek fell. The Governor persuaded them to hang on for two months longer, telling them that the Germans had taken Calais and that the Russians were hopelessly enveloped in tho Carpathians. In Europe the war would be ended in two months.
