There was a good -attendance, and keen bidding was experienced for good wools. 'Practically all purchases were for the home trade. The High Commissioners cabled market report, dated Loudon, Juno '2!), is as follows:—The wool sales have commenced The market is firm, and manufacturers are busy, but the high prices restrict competition The price for Merino and fine crossbreds is one penny, and medium and coarse crossbreds onehalfpenny higher than the closing rates at the last 'sales. There are 130.000 bales of New Zealand wool available. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co..
