NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the New Plymouth Club was held las!, evening. There was a lar'jo attendance nf members, ami the president (.Air. W. \. Ewing) occupied the cluiir. Till! iiimiial report congratulated members on the continued success of the club. Tile win- lirxl been responsible for (be absence of several members, but the finances were in a good condition. Regret was expressed at the death ol Air. Leslie Sole, who was killed at the Dardanelles, o.her members of the club r-Messrs C. 'Weston, 'G. llertrand. 1!. S.')\rt!)iuu, \V. .Sontham, S, Paul, and' S. Okoy, were, also doing their duty at the front. The eranmittee and Members wished these members the best of luck and a salt return. The committee also records with regret the death of another esteemed member, Mr. Geo. Tabor. The membership of the club had slightly decreased owing to members leaving the district. The ba'ance-sheet showed that after writing off 10 per cent, for depreciation the club had a balance ol assets over liabilities of £3SI 17s lid. The late steward .'.Mr. T. A'eomnns). who had been given ,v holiday for a. trip Home, had written that he had joined the colors and pone to the front. Mr. AY. Birch had been elected to the position of steward. The secretary's honorarium was IVed at £25 per annum. Tt was decided that the names of members who bad pone to the front be i recorded in the books of the club. ; Resolved that enlarged photos of all ; elnb members now at the front lie placed in the club rooms.
