DOMINION WINTER SHOW.
TO-D'.Y Tllli Oi'EXIXCi DAY. To-day at 12 noon his Worship the Mayor will oiien the sixth Dominion Winter Show at the Show Buildings, in Hawera. A very fine and large display of all kinds will be presented to tha crowds flocking to the show during Wednesday and the three following days. Such a show of milking machines Imft never been seen there before. Farmers will be specially interested in the splendid display of cheese and butler, the (Inest ever made by the Winter Show Association. A feature of the show will be the Agricultural Department's magnificent exhibit. It is said to be the biggest and most complete ever made, by tha department, and will no doubt attract tc lot of attention. Kntries. in all other sections are very good, and will serve, in conjunction wit)i the rest, to make up perhaps the best display ever seen at a Dominion Show. There will be many attractions during the week, llugby football will provide two interesting afternoons—this afternoon Wellington playing Taranaki, and on Saturday Wanganui meeting Taranaki in the second match this season. At the show there will be numerous side shows interesting to the public. Tea and , luncheon may be got at the show buildings. On the railways special excursion fares are offered, so that visitors have an exceptional opportunity of getting to the siiow. An interesting as well us a profitable li'iie can very easily be spent by all ; laranuki during this show week.
