DISTRICT NEWS.
AL/BERT 'ROAD. From Our Own Correspondent.) It is with sincere regret I have to record the deatli „f a very old settler of this district, Mr. George Wiifcms, who passed away with startling suddenness while visiting the New Plymouth Winter Show. Mr. Williams came to New Plymouth with his parents from the Old Country .way back in the 'sixties when quite a young lad, and while still a boy took in the country. No one now remaining here had a more intimate knowledge of the trials of early life in the backhlocks than did the late Mr". Williams. For well over thirty years he had been a highly-respected neighbor, whose help in the busy season and, in fact, at all times was always cheerfully given. A grown-up family, with several grandchildren, also two sisters and ft brother, remain to mourn his loss. Deceased liad some twelve months ago divided his farm between his two married sons and had settled in Inglewood. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in the district.
