A CORRECTION.
To the Editor. Sir.—l see in your report of the 'Farmers' Co-operative Society's annual meeting of shareholders, held in Hawern on .Tune /> last, that 1 was supposed to have asked the chairman why they did not call up the uncalled share capital. This remark was not made by me. as I was fully aware of the position, having been one'of the first directors. The remarks made by me re share capital were that to strengthen the financial position ol our society, and also set some of the previous speakers the right example to .follow, I would take up an additional five shares, which, you will agree, Iras quite a different meaning from calling up uncalled share capital.—l am. etc., fi. _T. DAVIDSON. Kaimata, June Id.
