Hardin;-, J. Fredricksen and E. Fredricksen, .who are leaving shortly for the front. Although the weather was favorable only a small number turned up. During the evening songs were contributed bv iMiessrs W. I'. Bra'sh, E. G. Harding, aiul (J. E. lieuwood. Mr. .Brash made a very appropriate speech, in which he expressed his regret at seem:* so small an attendance, but expalined that very short notice had been given, which perhaps accounted for tlie absence of several who would bare come had they'known. -Air. Harding, on behalf of those present who mere going to the front, thanked those present for the enjoyable cveninjr they lftul spent, and also thanked Mr. Brash for his kind remarks. In concluding, Mr. Harding said that if they\ were ever placed in the firing line they would do their utmost for King and country. Mes'srs (}. 10. Jlenwood, H. Hall, and (1 Lindsay left on Thursday luflt for Hamilton, where they intend to spend a fortnight rabbit shooting, so wo are all looking forward to rabbit pies on their return.

Owing to the small supply of milk hero tho creamery is to be' closed on Thursday next for the winter months.
