WEDDING.

MasDONALD—SUTTON. A violet wedding was solemnised at St. Joseph's Church, Hawera, on Tuesday morning, when Mr. Richard Mac Donald, second son of Mrs. S. Mac Donald, of Raumai, Palmerston North, was marrieA to Miss Paulino (Dollie) Sutton, youngest daughter of Mrs. H. W. Sutton, Ilawera. The ceremony was performed by tho Very Eev. Father Doolaghty, of Marton. The bride, who was given away by Mr. B. McCarthy, wore a beautiful gown of ivory watered crepe do chine over the palest pink charmeuse, and a tullo veil and sprays of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of pale pink and white ilowers and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by three! bridesmaids —Miss Nellie Sutton (sister of tho bride) and Misses Annie and Kate Mac Donald (sisters of the bridegroom), who wore threetiered frocks of shell-pink crepe de chine, with swathed belts of violet tulle, and hats of violet velvet, with ostrich ruche. Each carried a basket of violets and maidenhair fern, tied with pink tulle, and wore a dainty necklet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. T. O'Rorke as best man,

iiiid Mr. J. Mac Donald and Mr. T. O'Neill acted as groomsmen. Mendelssohn's Wedding March was played by Miss Eeilly as the bridal party left the church. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride's mother. Later Mr. and Mrs. Mac Donald left by motor-car for the south, the bride wearing a navy blue costume and violet hat, and a beautiful set of squirrel furs, the gift of the bridegroom. The mother of the bride was dressed in a black Ottoman silk coat and skirt, and black velvet hat, and she also had a mauve bouquet. The bridegroom's mother wore a black crepe de chine costume with black velvet, and carried a bouquet of autumn tints.
