AUSTRIA REFUSES DEMANDS. MILLION ROUMANIANS READY. Received June 3, 11 p.m. Berlin, June 3. The Morning Post's 'Berne correspondent reports that the Austrian Ministry and German representatives discussed the Roumanian Note and refused its demands. It is estimated that the Roumanian army contains a million perfectly equipped men, and that their entrance into the war will provide a new six hundred miles front for Austrian strategists. Tile Frankfurter Gazette says: We must play the role of intermediary, as there is no reason why Austria should not make just and equitable concessions to Roumania."
