INCREASE IN 'GENERAL TAXATION.

Parliament would be askeS to provide for-a slight increase in general taxation. The'Ca'binet haU not decided w&at course to pursue. Personally he saw no likelihood of a special war tax bearing on any one section of 'the community; such as .the deputation <scemed to feat.
