Emperador and Bimeler are moving well at Ellerslie, and followers of the former who lost their money at Wanganui may get it back again at any moment. Ben Deeley will be riding both days at the Otaki meeting, and will 'then speed off,to Ellerslie to ride there on the third day of the Auckland meeting. He has to ride three more winners to beat C. Jenkins' record, and he is doing his best to hoist new figures. Jackman is a much improved horse | since running second in the Wanganui I Steeple, and is creating a good impression at Kllerslie. Soporific won so easily each day lit, Wanganui that it looks as if 12st. Sib will not stop him at Otaki. Rothschild Excelsior appears to be well treated in the mile at the Manawatu Trotting Club's meeting. Danger Signal is some good', and will prove, dangerous at Otaki. Birkful has no Awahous to beat in the Maiden Hurdles at Ellerslie, and is not badly treated. Harbor Light may beat more than beat him. General Webb is likely, to be heavily supported in the Maiden Steeple tomorrow. Colonel Soult is himself again, and should show up at the Great Northern meeting. ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. Prince Soult beat King Chiara over six furlongs on the grass in lmin 22sec; Tact was better than Zinn over live furlongs on the grass in lmin 0 2-sscc; SoultikolT, Tragedy King, and Jolie Fillc, in that, orelc, did a round on the grass in 2min 0 2-sscc: Potoa heat Hopye over four furlongs in 53 4-osoe; Ladoga did two rounds at an easy race. After breakfast, Spalfish and Tararu Jack did six furlongs on the sand in lmin 17 4-ssee, and Dlucstonc five on the grass in lmin fiscr.
