LODGE MEETINGS.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Egmont Lodge was held last evening, Bro. J. Toms, N.G., presiding. Two candidates were initiated, and a large amount of correspondence dealt with, including an interesting letter from Bro. F. W. D. Gilbert, secretary of the Loyal Hope of Sydenham Lodge, London. The directors of the New Zealand Branch have recommended an iinpbrtant innovation in connection with the lodge meeting to be used during the war. The usual weekly meeting of the Egmont Lodge No. 112 1.0. G.T. was opensd by Br. L. F. Pepperell as-Acting Chief Templar at 7.30, The programme for the evening was new officers to entertain and numerous items, both vocal and instrumental, were ably rendered. Light refreshments were handed round, which terminated a very pleasant evening.
