HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Per Press Association. Wellington, May 29. The High Commissioner reports, under date Loudon. May 2S, 10.25 p.m.:— Petrograd reports that in the region of Sliavli the Russians were successful on Tuesday and Wednesday. Progress was made south-west of the MtiraviewoSliavli line, and on the Lower Dubissa, repulsing the enemy's offensive at Rossieny and capturing several hundred prisoners, automobiles, and other trophies. Bobra, on the enemy's right, on Tuesday was bombarded with heavy artillery. In the region of Ossowiee the enemy attempted a fruitless ofl'en- . sive under cover of asphyxiating gas east of Jodwabno. Several sectors on the Narew front were active with artillery and rifle firing. In the region of the Vistula-Bzura the Russians' light infantry bavonetted sixty of the enemy in a successful skirmish witli pickets, and the survivors were made prisoners. Tn the direction of Opatow the enemy made barren attacks in ereat force. Tn Galieia, on Tuesday and Thursday night, the enemy attacked the whole front of the Upper Vistula a'ud the left of the Pan, but was everywhere repulsed with great loss. An intense sfuhhoni battle on both hanks' of the San lief ween Przemysl -and the River Luhaczowka and between Przemysl and the great marshes of the Nneisier continues.
