HELP FOR SOLDIERS.
NEW' PLYMOUTH COMMITTEE'S ACTION. The care of New Zealand lads who iiro injured in action ill the course of the war, of their dependents, and of the dependents of those who may be killed . is now engaging general attention. These brave but unfortunate fellows de- ( serve the best treatment at the hands of their fellow-countrymen, together with any that may suffer through a ' breadwinner being incapacitated. At a meeting of the New Plymouth ' Patriotic Committee yesterday afternoon, it was unanimously decided to open a fund to assist tlx? dependents of any men that may be. killed or wounded in the present war. The committee. also decided to devote to this worthy object the sum of £I2OO already collected in aid of patriotic funds, but which had not previously been allocated to any particular object. This vfll give the fund a good start.
