Masters has disposed of his well-known innojjth-coated .fox, terrier dog to'"Mr. ICidd, of Dannevirke, 'Mr. -Masters having taken Manniim Trixiiv in exchange. Trixie is by Ducal (imp.) ex Atch," Cocoon. He intends to mate her with Mr. Sinclair's .Marquis of Middleford, which mating lie thinks will produce "hot stuff." An advertisement .appears in this issue where I.Vfr. Masters- is offering some smooth-coated fox terrier pupa for sale. They a i<e by Birellley Belvoir, ex ch. Newcastle Wakcmup (imp.) This mating has proved one of the best in the Dominion,' their stock having won the 12-gninea shield iri Wellington and also the 'Bitches' Produce Stakes, valued at ten guineas. Ch. Newcastle Wakemup was bred by Mr. Wools, of New South .Wales. 1 (Mr. J. W. Mckillan, of Stratford, lias ,a litter of Airedale'terriers (six bitches • ; and three dogs) by Midland "Prince—--Midland Meg, (Mr. McMillan says he could not have had a more* satisfactory lot to order. All .are a-healthy, even lot, and a credit to their sire. lie has disposed of them all, some going as far south as Invercargill. lie also tells jne he had orders for eight tfogfmpg, but fcould only fulfil the three.

There has been some talk of the fanciers trying to form a coursing clulx hut whether they will he successful remains to he seen, as it takes a fair amount of capital to run one of these clubs, but let tis hope they willlc successful.
