STRATFORD NEWS.

The section has a frontage of 70 feet, with a depth of 150 feet. The church is to be shifted to a site in Regan Street. Mr. <J. McAlister, our local jhotographer, has purchased a site "from Messrs Paget and Mackay, and intends erecting a two-storey building on it. The site is in Broadway, opposite the Loan Company's premises, and the new building will bo erected to suit (lie requirements of Mr. McAlister's increasing business. Mr. C. Martin (proprietor of the Egmont Coaeli and Carriage Factory) h;is purchased the ironmongery business of Air. R. H. Anderson, and 'in future the firm will be known as C. Martin and Company. Mr. Martin informs me that the coach factory will still be run is usual under the able management of Mr. R. Met'ormick. Mr. C. H. Potts, who for some years has been associated with Mr. T. 11. Penn, has volunteered for the front. Charley will be greatly missed by the farmers and townspeople, especially the former, who always received a pleasant smile when calling for their factory cheques on the 20th of the month.
