There has been an exceptional demand on account of tin? high prices of other foods, and the market has advanced, partly owing to purchases for the (iovernment. Small supplies of Danish are coming forward, but Irish and Canadian suppliers have increased. Present quotations are: Irish !Ms to Uss per cwt., Danish «J2s to !Ws, Canadian 85s. Hams.—Tim market was steadv, with little alteration in prices until the middle of April, when prices advancsd owing to short supply. Present quotations: English 112s to 120s, Irish IOSs to 112s, Canadian 74s to 70s, American 70s to 725,
