The next event was the. ,Cs(i mutch (16 clays), Ist prize £3O, 2nd fli). :ird £(!, 4th £4. There were 20 nominations (first and second) for this match, and some excellent shooting was witnessed, only four separating the highest and lowest of those who finished. Messrs Whittle (shooting from the 17yds mar!;) and Harrison (shooting from l.mls), with 14 each, divided first and second money (£-(()), and Messrs Free (l-'vds) Whittle (17yds). Gunderson (15yds)' Tuck (13yds), McDonald (12 yds) ' and AVlieller (14 yds), with l.'i birds each, divided third and fourth money, taking £1 each and shooting off for the balance. Tn the shoot-off the winner turned up in Tuck.
