MORE MEN FROM TARANAKI. THIRTY-TWO ENLISTMENTS. Recruiting has been particularly brisk .in Tarnnaki during the past few days, and especially since the success of the New Zealanders in the Dardanelles was announced the New Plymouth Defence Oliice has had to deal with many applications for enrolment in the reinforcements of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Taranaki is well represented in the forces lighting in the Dardanelles, there are Taranaki men on the water going to the firing line, and there are others in training at Trcntham, while there are indications that there will be many Taranaki men in future reinforcements.

A few men who have applied at New Plymouth have been .rejected as unfit, but the majority fulfil all requirements. During the past few days twenty-two Taranaki men have been'informed that they have been accepted for service, but the time of their departure for Trentham to go into training lias not yet been fixed, in addition to these men, ten further .enlistments have been made during the past day or two, but these applications have not yet been dealt with. The names of tlio twenty-two men who have been- accepted are: Roy F. Baird (New Plymouth). Stanley Bollon (Bell Block). Henry W. Beadle (New Plymouth). Olaf B. Bertram (Waitara)". Percy N. Frederick 11. Rider (New Plymouth). Charles S. Eattenbnry' (Waitara). Harry Richardson (Waitara). Henry W. G. Smyth, (Opunake). Amos E. Still (New Plymouth). George D. Skelton (Fitzroy). Frederick L. Truman (New Plymouth). George Thornton (Waitara).* Thomas M. Winiki (Midhirst). Edgar A. Whatt (Ivohuratahi). Norman White (New Plymouth)). There has also been activity in recruiting in South Taranaki. The following men enlisted at Hawcra yesterday:— Alfred E. Collins (Eltliam). P. 11. Teliaweri (Waitotara). Ernest E. Fit/.water (Patea).
