CROWN LANDS BALLOT.
A ballot for the right of selection of 84111 acres of Crown land opened oh April 2S for applications under the optional clauses of the Land Act was conducted yesterday bv the Commissioner of Crown lands, Mr. G. H. Billiard. There was a good attendance of applicants, and the following is the result of the drawing. Mr. A. Axhead, member of the Land Board, acting as scrutineer:—Section 1(1. Block IT., Aria S.D., 88 acres, 20 applicants—H. E. Keys successful under 0.R.P.; .Section 21, BloeK IV., Mimi S.D., 322 acres. 11 applicants —Mrs M. Kendall, 0.R.P.; Section 1, Block V., and Section 3, Block-VL, Pouatu >?. D., 314 acres, 10 applicants—J, Sepie. renewable lease; Section 3, Block XL, Mnhoe S.D., 717 acres, 7 applicants -.Mrs. M. F. Ryan, O.RJP.; Section 1. Block X.. Mahoe S.D.. 32!) acres, 1 applicant—Terence Rcardon, O.R.P. (passed conditionally); Section !), Block 1., Poiiatu S.D.. 109 acres, "2 applicants—■ P. Kuhn and 15. Widmcr, under renewable lease. The three sections in the sale plan not applied for remain open for selection without ballot. .
