GOVERNMENT URGED TO TAKE ACTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dargkville, Last Niglit. At a meeting of the Kaipara Chamber of Commerce held to-day it was unanimously resolved: "That whilst cordially congratulating the Cabinet in coping so successfully with the shortage of oversea ships for the transport of the expeditionary forces and in further providing for the enormous increase in our frozen produce, that in view of the shortage of ships for the carriage of frozen produce to Europe, step 6 be immediately taken to increase the numbers of bottoms for the carriage of frozen produce by chartering or purchasing or otherwise obtaining a supply of vessels to cope with the trade in future."
