HALF-HOLIDAY POLL.
WHANGAREI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whangarei, Last Night. The Saturday half-holiday proposed for the first time at Whangarei was defeated by 514 votes against 251. WAITARA. The weekly half-holiday poll at Waitara resulted in 181 votes being cast for Saturday and 74 for Thursday, Saturday being thus carried by 107 votes.
