FOOTBALL.
SYDNEY PRESS OPINION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, April 20. The Herald, commenting on foot bail prospects, says it would be well if the New South Wales' Rugby League decided to cancel all interstate and international games. The British nation is in the throes of a life and death struggle with a powerful adversary whose aim is world dominion. As an adjunct of health and physical fitness, football is excellent, but the present is not an opportune time to arrange more important fixtures. In this respect the Rugby Union sets a splendid example. Its executive has taken a more serious view of the great war in cancelling all but, club matches.
