A LABORER'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, April 27. Thomas Hopewell, aged 34, a laborer, recently from Dnnedin, committed suicide by cutting his throat with a razor last night. He leaves a wife and three children. WAGGONER KILLED. Hamilton, April 27. William Hunter, late of Amherley and for many years head shepherd of the Teviotdale. Estate, Canterbury, had both legs broken in a. wagon accident at Okoroire on Friday. He died in the Waikato Hospital last night. A SEAMAN FALLS DOWN HATCHWAY. Auckland, Last Night. Before the Sydney steamer Kiveriua which left Auckland at 2.110 this afternoon, had readied Tiri, a seaman named James Carroll, aired 2S, fell down the hatchway, lie landed on his feet and injured his spine, and the vessel at once put back. After the man had been land' cd he was taken up to the hotpital, and the steamer left again for Sydnoy at i 4.30.
