HOUSEHOLDERS' MEETINGS.
OMATA. There was a fair attendance at Omata. The Inspectors' reports on the school work were read and favorably commented on by the chairman. The following committee, were elected: Messrs ('. .T. Shrimpton, R. Clemow, F. Morris, J. Ramsbottam, and T. Sanger. A discussion took place on the advisability of joining the School Committees' Association, it being finally decided to ',ake no action. The head-teacher (Mr. Meyonberg) introduced the advisability of giving med' uls to pupils making full attendance for three or four years, and also for the full school course.* It was finally decided to hold the matter over until a future meeting, the head-teacher to report on the probable number of applicants and the approximate cost. At a meeting of the School Committee held afterwards, Mr. 0. J. Shrimpton was elected chairman.
