BANKING PROFITS. London, April 22. The London Bank,of Australia profits were £108,050. A preference dividend of 7 per cent, and an ordinary dividend' of 7 per cent, were declared; £30,000 were carried to reserve, £2OOO to the officers' provident fund, and £2B, 317 carried forward. A LOAN. London, April 22. Victoria has underwritten at two million and a quarter 4% per cent, loan at par. The Victorian prospectus was issued on Friday. The bonds are redeemable in 11)20-25, and the final instalment of 45 per cent, is payable on July 26 with the option to convert into inscribed stock till August 3. The Westminster Gazette points out that this is the highest price for a, similar loan since .the war bega'n. Fat pigs—There was ft medium-sized yarding of fat pigs, which were easier in price than last week Very few stores came forward, and this accounted for a slight improvement in the demand.
