THE REBELS DEFEATED. N ■ THE FORCE RETREATING. Received April 23, 9.5 p.m. Capetown, April 23. Official: The Union right wing, under Dirk Vandeventer, defeated the enemy at Kabus, twenty miles north of Keetmanshoop, whence they are retreating. The enemy, six hundred strong, with five field guns, lost forty killed and wounded. Our losses were slight.
