A SLIGHT INCREASE. A statement circulated in New Plymouth last evening that the war risk insurance on shipping has been increased 5 per cent, caused some uneasiness, for, as the ruling rate was only 2 per cent., an increase of 5 per cent, indicated that destructive influences had been roleaajd on British shipping. What has really happened is of much lighter inportahee. A News reporter made enquiries into the matter and learned that advice was received last night by the New Zealand Marine. Underwriters'' Association thai the mtc for war risks between New Zaaland ports and British ports has been increased from £1 to 25s per cent. It is considered that the rise is so slight that no particular significance may be attached to it. <
