WAR, PRECAUTIONS ACT. Melbourne, April 22. Mr. Tcarce introduced in.the Senate a Bill to amend the War Precautions Act, giving the defence authorities more stringent powers. Amongst other things it gives power to requisition any factories, workshops, or their output, for munition supplies. Where a courtmartial proves that an offence was committed with the intention of assisting the enemy the offender shall be~ liable to the death penalty. GIFT PICTURES SOLD. Sidney, April 22. Colonel Murray anticipates an attack on a patrol station to obtain supplies and enable them to roach Dutch New Guinea. The War Precautions Amendment Act passed all its stages.
