MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

NOMINATIONS FOR OFFICE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, April 21. The following nominations have been received for the Hastings MayoraltyMessrs W. Hart and John T. Blake. There are twelve candidates for nine seats on the council. For the position of Hastings representative on ' the Napier Harbor Board, Messrs A. A. George and Eustace Lane .have been nominated, and for the Hospital Board, Messrs J. A Miller and W. Hart.

Marton, April 21. For the mayoralty, Messrs R. E. Beckett and F. C. Wilson have been nominated'. There are nineteen nominations for si\' seats on the council, including all the retiring councillors and the late mayor.

Hawera, April 21. Messrs E. Morissey and E. Dixon have been nominated for the mayoralty. There are sixteen nominations for nine seats on the council. Messrs Corrigan and Pacey have been nominated for one seat on the Patea Harbor Board. Mr. E. B. Bates was returned to the Hospital Board.

Klthain, April 21. Councillor G. H. Buckeridgc and Mr. B. Dive, ex-H.P., are candidates for the Elthara mayoralty, and there are eleven candidates for nine seats on the council.

Mr. G. W. Taylor was returned unopposed as member of the Hospital Board. Waipawa, April 21. Mr. W. I. Limbriek has been returned unopposed as Mayor. Carterton, April 21 The Mayor, Mr. M. D. Hornsby, lias been re-elected. The following have been nominated as councillors:—Messrs J. C. Alister, W. Fisher, JT.M.B. Tripp, T. II Hughes, D. Robins, H. McKenzio,' w' A.' Kitchen, V. J. T.iudop, and Gordon H ■Mian. Thent is no election. Inglewood, April 21. Mr. George Young, who has held the mayoral scat for two terms, has been re-elected without opposition. There are seven candidates nominated for six seals on the council. Eketahuna, April 21. Turner, retiring mayor, has been elected unopposed for a third, term. There are seven nominations for six seats on the council. h'eilding, Last Night. Mr. A. M, Ongley was re-elected .Mayor, unopposed. He has already served in office for two years.
