OUR MEN IN SAMOA. Wellington, Last Nigh;.. The military authorities have, received the following advice from Colonel Lo.mii, Administrator, regarding the health' of the New Zealand garrison at Samoa. "Health of troops good." "Headquarters Captain J. (!. Roaehe, suffering from colitis. Infantry Battalion Private Buncehall, empliysium; Private W. A. Finch, bronchitis. .-Ml doing well."
THE EXTRA FORCE. 2500 MEN WANTED. The reinforcements which the New Zealand Covornment has oll'erod the Imperial authorities, and which have bum accepted, will consist of a battery of approximately 500 men and infantry to the number of about 2000 men. ' "he Minister of Defence (the. Hon. J. Allen) stated on Sunday that the Defence Department practically had the artillerymen they required now, and that the infantry would be called up right away.
