HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Wellington, April 10. The liigli Commissioner reports under date London, April 15:— At La Boiselle tlie French heavy artillery destroyed German trenches and shelters. At Orvillers, in the Argonne, jiear Fontaine Aux Charmes, a local engagement between the trenches was to the French advantage. The French ascendancy at Moron ig more pronounced. On Sunday there was a bombardment of Lea Eparges by the Germans without attacking. The extension oil the front at Bois d'Ailly was maintained against counter-attacks. The French mastered a portion of the principal 'German trench, north of which they gained also ground 400 metres long and 100 metres deep. Near Fevenhey tlie Germans bombarded without attacking. In the wood of Le Pretre we Avon on Wednesday a part of the German line. The French yesterday maintained the gain and stepped a counter-attack by machine guns. Li Alsace we progressed 1500 yards in the direction of SelinepfenrichtIcopf.
