HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Wellington, April 14. The High Commisssioner reports, under date London, April 12, 11.30 p.m.:— Sir John French reports that the situation was unchanged throughout last week. On Friday morning we successfully exploded a mine in the neighborhood of Armentieres, and as a result the loopholed walls »f a house held by the enemy Here destroyed. Twenty-nine German casualties were counted. The enemy_ replied by bombarding our positions, without damage. Early on Wednesday morning the Gerwns exploded two mines on our right, but failed to damage the trenches. A similarly, harmless explosion occurred opposite our left on Friday eyening.
