In the iSnprenip Court, John Milne, for forgery and uttering, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labor. Cecil On. Kirrow, on ejgiit charges of theft of ihe moneys of the Lyttelton Borough Coum-il, did not appear owing to a misunderstanding, and sentence was postponed.
