FOOTBALL.
REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the Northern Committee of the Taranaki Rugby Referees' Association, the balance-sheet showed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Chairman, Mr. G. Hopkins; secretary, Mr. B. Petty; executive committee, Messrs. W. Koch, T. Petty and the secretary; examination board, Messrs. T. Petty "and W. Roch; delegates to central executive, Messrs. B. Petty and W. Roch. Mr, L. Andrews, of .Okato, was admitted to active membership subject to passing the usual examination.
