AMERICA. BITTER FEELING AGAINST GERMANY. BRITAIN MUST REDUCE HER BLOCKADE. London, April 0. A Washington correspondent says now it is in Britain's power to finish the troubled chapter of Anglo-American trade relations. She must theoretically, but not in fact, give up the right of arbitrarily interfering with neutral shipments suspected of an eventual enemy destination.
This correspondent adds: "The feeling against Germany was never bitterer in America. Count Bernstorff justifies t ; .c Falaba outrage on Hie ground of military necessity. British merchantmen are armed, and German submarines must act quickly so the responsibility for the death of an American citizen rests on Britain.'*
